MARRERO, La. (Oct. 28) – Hurricane Zeta has made landfall as a Category 2 hurricane. The Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority – West (SLFPA-W) closed all necessary land based floodgates prior to the onset of tropical weather conditions.

The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) transitioned to a full activation this morning and will remain active for the duration of this event. SLFPA-W staff is currently sheltering in the EOC and will remain until conditions improve.
