Leaders from the Federal Emergency Management Agency; U.S. Coast Guard; Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority of Louisiana; City of New Orleans; Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Charles, Plaquemines and St. John the Baptist parishes; Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans; Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority (East and West); Pontchartrain Levee District; the Port of New Orleans; the National Weather Service; the New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corporation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joined together on June 1 to discuss hurricane preparedness and public safety; coordination among state and local organizations and government agencies; and the capability of the Greater New Orleans Hurricane & Storm Damage Risk Reduction System.   20150601_103901
