Flood protection isn’t optional on the West Bank; it’s our last line of defense against catastrophic flooding. And on March 29, it’s on the ballot.
Year-round, the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority – West (SLFPA-W) manages, oversees and operates the West Bank levee system that protects 250,000 residents and over $41 billion in homes, schools and businesses.
This upcoming election, the millage that funds this vital work for the West Jefferson Levee District is up for renewal, which will ensure that SLFPA-W can continue to provide the best flood protection in the history of the West Bank.
