Bayou Segnette Levee Lift
Proposed levee crown straddle lift to El. +15.5 feet with 4H:1V side slopes for the
existing WBV 16.2b earthen levee section. Approx. 475 cy of excavation is
required with 320 cy placed onsite and 155 cy hauled offsite. Approx. 155 cy of
concrete, 230 cy of crushed stone/gravel, and 14,903 cy of topsoil/dirt will be hauled
in and placed as fill. Activity was previously authorized under P20230475.
MRL Path – DOTD
construct the AWAR project up to and along the crown of the right
descending Mississippi River levee, between second order levee stations 815+94 and
880+55, at Marrero and Harvey, Louisiana, in Jefferson Parish, has been validated for
use with the New Orleans District Categorical Permission letter dated August 30, 2018,
subject to compliance with the terms and conditions below and attached.
