Maclay Photo2Ms. Maclay presides over the seven member board of directors, serves as the CEO and appointing authority over all personnel matters, including the enforcement of state ethics laws, civil service rules and public records policies. She manages all of the non-federal activities for the West Bank Hurricane Protection project and negotiation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide better cooperation and communication during construction and emergency response. She serves as the Authority’s public information spokesperson, directs legislative matters and provides information to the Authority’s congressional and state delegations.

In her professional life, Ms. Maclay has served as the Executive Director of the Louisiana Museum Foundation in New Orleans since 2001. The Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose leadership is centered in a board of directors of community and business leaders. The Foundation is part of a public-private partnership to provide services and support for the Louisiana State Museum (LSM). In this and previous positions, she has mastered all facets of nonprofit administration, including budget planning and analysis; grants and proposal preparation; negotiation, preparation and execution of contracts and governmental cooperative endeavor agreements; special events planning and execution; administrative management; hiring and supervision of employees; coordinating interns and volunteers; program and systems analysis and implementation. She has experience in public relations, marketing, computer systems and various software applications.
