DauphinPaul Dauphin is one of New Orleans’ most distinguished communications professionals. He has more than 20 years of experience in public relations and broadcast news and is president of Pierre Principle Communications. As communications director of the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans for nearly 10 years, he was responsible for internal and external communications, media relations, publication and advertising development, and community relations.

While at the Port of New Orleans, he directed the comprehensive media response following the December 1996 Bright Field accident, the oceangoing freighter crashed into a crowded Mississippi riverfront shopping mall in one of the most dramatic accidents in the city’s history.
